Hello, I’m David F. Reynolds, a holistic life coach dedicated to helping people improve their wellbeing and live healthier, more fulfilling lives. My work focuses on sharing practical insights, strategies, and perspectives that support personal growth, self-awareness, and positive change.

My interest in personal development began at the age of 14 after a difficult day at school. Looking for answers, I searched “how to be happy” on YouTube and discovered the work of Leo Gura. The ideas and practices I encountered had a significant impact on my life, and as I began applying them, I noticed real improvements in my mindset and overall wellbeing. This experience sparked a curiosity about how these principles could help others as well.

I later studied music at a college in Brighton, England, with the goal of becoming a drummer. In 2018, I decided to leave college and pursue a different path focused on personal development and coaching. In 2019, I launched my first website to share the insights that had helped me.

Today, my work is based at davidreynoldscoaching.com, where I continue to share resources and guidance aimed at helping others grow and improve their lives.
In my work and personal philosophy, I value kindness, open-mindedness, and maintaining a sense of humour. Even when faced with disagreement, I believe in treating others with respect and understanding, with the ultimate goal of encouraging greater wellbeing and peaceful coexistence.

My coaching style is supportive, reflective, and adaptable, drawing on different counselling approaches. I use ideas from Person-Centred Therapy, developed by Carl Rogers, by focusing on empathy, active listening, and creating a non-judgemental environment where the person feels understood and respected.

I also incorporate elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), developed by Aaron T. Beck. This involves helping people recognise unhelpful thoughts and consider alternative ways of thinking that may improve how they feel and behave.

In addition, I am aware of ideas from Psychodynamic theory, associated with Sigmund Freud, which emphasises how past experiences and relationships can influence current feelings and behaviours. By understanding these different approaches, my coaching style becomes eclectic, allowing me to adapt my support depending on the needs of the individual.

My approach draws from several well-established psychological models, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) developed by Aaron T. Beck, Person-Centred Therapy developed by Carl Rogers, and Psychodynamic theory associated with Sigmund Freud.

Some approaches, like CBT, are often structured and solution-focused, which can lead to noticeable improvements relatively quickly. Others, such as person-centred or psychodynamic approaches, focus more on deeper self-understanding and long-term emotional growth.

Ultimately, the goal is not just quick change, but lasting personal development and improved wellbeing.
